One of those moments – Caption This

By Stuart

When I was first starting getting into photography, I decided to go to Taronga Zoo in Sydney and see what sorta photos I could compose.

While I was at the Meerkat enclosure I managed to snap the beauty below. Even as I look back at it now I realise that a lot of photography (especially when referring to wildlife) is pure timing.

Just as I was about to head away I saw this Meerkat poke his head out of the tree log and then proceed to roll around into the “Chillaxing” position below. I have to say it was one of my favourite photos of the day.

Anyhoo, just wanted to show this one off as it does look rather cute and funny but at the same time wanted to play a bit of a game. If you are bored and have a couple of minutes free, have a look at provide a caption for the image. It could be for example what the Meerkat might be thinking.

For example I thought that perhaps an appropriate caption would be “Ahh the only thing that would make this afternoon better is a beer”.

Be creative, have a bit of fun with it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Stuart ;)

What a great shot. I love photographing animals and birds. Catching one as you have in this photo is rare.

Hi Jodapoet,
Thanks so much. Any ideas on a funny “caption” that you would give to this photo?

It is so true, getting that really good shot often takes a lot of time and patience.

I knew it was you, Stu! (And wow that rhymed too! A double rhyme, ooh!) XD

Anyway it looks like you’re having fun with this new blog, and I hope you and Erin have a blast with this one (whether you share this or otherwise).

Now for the caption:
“Aah. Finally, time to LOG in.”

Nice Picture,

When I visited the Philly zoo had a similar experience when passing by the tortoise pen. The male had decided to **** a female and not only was it quite a sight, but they were quite noisy about it.

@Ketihmaxx – mwahaha yes I am a man of many blogs *grins*. Erin is taking a bit of a break from blogging so this one will be just me. But I am sure Erin will be around to comment at some stage. Bwahaha love the caption… you are such a geek!

@Dan – Nice, puts a spin on the picture like it is taken out of a Meerkat “Survivor” type TV show. (and you know that could be quite entertaining).

@Tesseract – Thanks so much – and isn’t it always the way, you go to the zoo and inevitably there will be one couple getting it on hahaha.
